curriculum, department heads, and dinosaurs...

First of all, when your sassy red headed advisor tells you "this class is alot of work and you have to keep up," listen to her, and don't forget about major assignments two days before they are due. You'll end up spending 6+ hours at the campus library, printing out 2 trees worth of articles, stressing out your husband, and staying up until 230am getting it all done.

DON'T DO IT!!

Secondly, when you get a new department head...try to remember that you won't be there that much longer! Yay, I bet you thought I was going to say be patient, be nice and try your best to be the bigger person. hhmmmmmffff! Grin and bear it!

And lastly, when you pick a curriculum theme, be prepared to be drowned in your topic. Which for me is dinosaurs... and it is absolutely, positively, most definately the bestest, bestest, bestest thing ever! (sorry we are still watching tons of Charlie and Lola..)

back to the pile on my desk!

playing about...

I have this little sister, Lola. She is small and very funny..

Some of you might know about my love of the british things. Most recently, it's been Charlie and Lola (the children's cartoon about a brother and sister, british of course.) And before anyone knows it....everyone will be visiting Lolaland, wearing shiny red shoes, and yelling "Charlie!" only to have your friend reply by yelling "Lola!" Drinking pink milk, having best friends named either Marv or Loita and have a fear of being eaten by bears, crocodiles or lions if you step on cracks. It is sad to say that while normally after 4 days of any cartoon, I would be sick of it and want to throw every bit of it in the rubbish bin, not with Charlie and Lola!
And yes, maybe this year for Halloween Peter and Kody will dress up as them! Wouldn't that be absolutely certainly lovely!
hee-hee!

and of course everyone will have dog named "sizzles."

at someone's request, here is the link to the local news that covered Monty's homecoming ceremony. While we are not the story, we are in the video clip. About mid way through, you can see us directly behind the couple that is kissing. Monty is the soldier kind of throwing the kid in the air. And you can kind of see Peter running around us. Anyways, it's a very unflattering clip, but oh well.

Otherwise, Monty has been enjoying being home. Playing with the kids, hunting with his BFF, Everrett and riding the ATV and his truck again. We are very excited to have him home and I am happy for another reason too...cheap babysitting! lol!

I started another quarter at Savannah Tech and this quarter could be the one that breaks me. Curriculum is a very important course to me and I have one of the greatest and toughest instructors. I am also taking my last English course and my first of three algebra courses. Yuck! Plus the algebra class is at night...even more yucky! Curriculum should be a fun class as I have several classmates that I just adore and look up to. We'll see.
Oh, and my theme is dinosaurs of course!! I know it won't be easy, but hey since when I have ever done anything the easy way?

That is about all for now...oh, Monty should be sustained as the Scout Master for our ward on Sunday...so it's really going to be busy the next few months.

love to all!

he's home! he's home! he's home!!

ok, one more time HE'S HOME! and once again I am pinching myself.
We were very excited to see him on that field, and the army even did a magic trick...they arrived an hour early!! Here are the very foggy pictures that I took on the field. Our best family friends, the Prostrollos have some that they took and when I get them I'll post them (if they are any good.)
love to all,
michelle

Kody all bundled up while waiting, it was about 40 degrees. It was cold, for us anyways.
